Un Día a la Vez

The mission of Border Perspective has always been about bringing the peace and hope of Christ to those hurting and facing uncertainty. Over the lifetime of our ministry, we’ve learned how to endure very significant and tough situations through the stories of the migrants we meet. Through these friendships and interactions, God has been so faithful and provided in ways we never imagined.

Like you, Covid-19 has forced us to plant our feet firmly in the present.

With information changing day by day and wondering what’s next, all we can do is be in the now. Some of us cringe at the saying “one day at a time” because we like to be in control of today, tomorrow and future days. This pandemic is a challenging reminder that we are not in control of today, tomorrow or any of the days ahead.

In this time of uncertainty and life as we know it changing before us, all we can do is care and look out for one another.

The things we do today matter; FaceTiming our friends and loved ones, sharing family memories and having dance parties with our children are so important.

These are the best things to do today.

Tomorrow, we’ll do what’s best for tomorrow.

Let’s continue to pray for each other, for those who are hurting, for those in the front lines and for those who are most vulnerable.

We can do this together, one day at a time.
