McAllen, TX — The Border Perspective team is pleased to announce the official date and theme for the 2026 Border Summit: “Faith, Immigration, and a Divided Nation” happening on October 9 & 10 in McAllen, Texas. This gathering will provide a unique opportunity for individuals from diverse political, denominational, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds to come together in unity. Participants will engage with leading experts on faith and immigration while strengthening their commitment to neighbors and communities across the United States.
It is essential for followers of Jesus to consider their allegiance to the Kingdom of God, gather to encourage one another, and learn from those actively engaged in both public and faith spheres related to the topic of immigration.
We believe this moment requires more than reaction, it requires formation. Because these topics are not simply about politics. It’s about people, our witness, and the kind of Church we are becoming.
Attendees will leave equipped with understanding of the following: the complexity of immigration policies and current changes, the impact on immigrant communities across the country, the intersection of social justice and the gospel, resources to become a “community of welcome”, and the importance of proximity to our neighbors.
