The Quinteros: Fundraising Update + Event Invitation

How is it already December? Anyone else?

I wrote this in one of my personal reflections recently:

“Every year I am amazed at just how quickly time passes. By just how much can change in 365 days. And how much more change will come with the next 365. And the next 365 after that. In how much growth one can experience. And yet we can know, there is still so much more growth to come. I’m so grateful for this year. For every mercy of God. For every lesson learned. For every door opened, and even the doors that closed. For every person met. For every relationship formed or deepened. For every moment of laughter. And every tear cried. God works all of these things work together. For good. To carry us along the journey of becoming. To make us who we are. And to make us who we will be.”

2024 Fundraising Update

I do plan to write an end-of-year update in addition to this one, but Eduardo and I wanted to share with you all where we are in the process of fundraising as we prepare to enter into our second year of ministry in South Texas in 2024. When we began the process of fundraising with an increased ask for this coming year, we were a bit intimidated, but as always, God knows our needs and exactly how He will meet them.

As of today, December 13th, 2023, we are 94.8% funded heading into 2024. We are $3,380 ($282/month) away from being 100% funded for the year.

To those of you who have joined our support team in the past few months, we are incredibly grateful and we pray that God continues to bless your generosity. We also pray that you are blessed in 2024 by the work of Border Perspective and how God is moving through Global Migration. We truly consider you to be an integral part of our day-to-day lives. Whatever God is doing in and through us and the ministry, He is doing in you too through your partnering with us.

We also want to invite all of you who have supported us this year (financially, prayerfully, and through friendship), and anyone interested in learning more about the work of Border Perspective and the move of God at the US-Mexico Border, to join us on Monday, December 18th, 2023 from 7-9 PM in the Dining Room at Dunwoody Baptist Church. Eduardo and I are hosting this event as a thank-you to all of you, and an opportunity to visit with you. We would not be where we are today without each one of you. We will be sharing stories from this year and casting vision for next year. We hope to see you there!

Atlanta friends, we will see you soon!

All of our love,

Caroline + Eduardo Quintero
