Border Perspective vision trips are designed with you in mind. The focus of this trip is on casting vision for future involvement. We believe that a vision trip is the most effective way to help you understand our work.
Through a few days on the field, you will see, and experience the reach our ministry has on the U.S and Mexico border. You’ll have the opportunity to meet our local team and partner ministries.
We invite you to “come and see” how God is at work on the South Texas border.
Vision trips are available year-round.
Vision trips require a minimum of two participants.

A vision trip is right for you if you are interested in bringing a group on future service-learning trips. If you have a genuine desire to understand and invest in border communities in a way that empowers and supports local ministries and leaders or are looking to establish a long-term partnership with Border Perspective.
What are the costs associated with a Vision Trip?
Vision Trip Fee - $395 covers dorm lodging with bedding and towels, meals, registration assistance and a ministry guide while on your trip to South Texas.
Your rental car & flight/transportation to South Texas - If you are flying in to South Texas, the airports nearest to us are McAllen International Airport (MFE - 15 minutes from site), Valley International Airport (HRL - 40 minutes from site), Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO - 1 hour from site), and San Antonio International Airport (SAT- 4 hours from site: often more direct flights). Additionally, due to liability policies, we require all participants to provide their own transportation while on the field. We (Border Perspective staff) are unable to provide transportation for participants for the duration of their time in South Texas.
Vision Trip Payment
A one time payment for each participant is required at the time of registration to secure your spot on this trip.
