COME JOURNEY THE U.S./MEXICO BORDER WITH US!
Border Perspective vision trips are designed with you in mind. The focus of this trip is on casting vision for future involvement.
Vision trips are not missions trips – they are immersive journeys. During your trip you’ll have the opportunity to meet our local team and Pastors who partner alongside Border Perspective. You’ll learn more about how we can live boldly and bravely through the beautiful and joyful people ministering on the U.S./Mexico border.
Get ready to be challenged! Ministry on the border is far from glamorous. You will be uncomfortable but it’s totally worth it!

Passports / ID’s
Although much of our work is bi-cultural and we continuously work with ministry partners on the Mexican side, all of our border trips take place on the U.S. side of the border. You will not need a U.S. passport unless we have come to a mutual agreement that crossing the border into Mexico will enhance your trip experience.
If you are traveling northbound, about 70 miles from Mcallen, Texas you will pass through the Falfurrias, Texas Checkpoint. This is a border patrol checkpoint and it is advised that all U.S. citizens have a state issued ID on them and students have a school ID or a copy of their birth certificate if they don’t have a state ID.
Individuals planning personal travel in conjunction with a Border Perspective trip are responsible for coordination and payment regarding all travel plans (airfare & ground itinerary) for the personal portion of the trip. In addition; any expenses, travel delays, or other unexpected occurrences that arise during a personal portion of a trip are not the responsibility of Border Perspective.
Individuals participating in Border Perspective trips must have medical insurance that provides adequate coverage while they are traveling. Participants should review the provisions of their own policy and contact their insurer to determine whether or not they should obtain additional personal coverage for the duration of the trip. Uncovered expenses that are incurred by trip participants due to accident or illness – including medical costs, airline change fees, and medical evacuation – are the responsibility of the participant, not Border Perspective. Border Perspective does not provide trip cancellation or other travel insurance coverage. Travelers should decide for themselves if they wish to obtain such coverage.
Participants shall notify Border Perspective of medical conditions and prescriptions that they are taking to ensure the availability of that information in case of a medical emergency.
